Back in 2019, Marcel White wrote an imaginative new production for secondary school students addressing online concerns.

The rapidly shifting landscape of the way young people use the internet has necessitated some adaptation of his original script, and since then this production has continued to develop with a new title, reworked story and nuanced artwork. Filters explores the complex pressures young people face online through social media, sending and receiving sexual content, cyberbullying, AI and pornography.

We believe Filters is essential to protect our teenagers’ wellbeing, and we hope this production and accompanying workshop will help to liberate young people from some of the darkness that they encounter online.
