Welcome to Bert and Horace’s junkyard. They collect, curate and repurpose all the rubbish that the world doesn’t want.

One day Charlie turns up in their yard. She begins to tell them how she took her inheritance and left home to explore life in the big city. Charlie’s life was full of luxury with epic parties, rock star friends and even a pet chihuahua but this faded into nothing when the money disappeared. She is empty pocketed, feeling pretty worthless and a long, long way from home.

Through song, storytelling and laughter, Bert and Horace show Charlie that she is not as ‘rubbish’ as she thinks and help her to consider whether she could take the long road home back to her Dad.

The Spots and the Stripes have always hated one another for no real reason other than that they are different. After a particularly heated argument with a Spot, one Stripe is convinced that she must find people who can help her stand up to the Spot. However, as she searches she meets characters who tell her stories from different cultures and religions about how it is possible to get along, despite being different. As she listens, the Stripe is challenged to spend time in her neighbour’s shoes and see a potential friend, instead of an enemy.
