“It was a pleasure to welcome the Saltmine team back…..the message is positive throughout and the Christian message explained clearly and succinctly, the audience loved joining in, especially the children. We made good connections with families who have a tentative or fringe connection with the church which is brilliant as part of our ongoing outreach”

This story starts, like all others do, with 'Once upon a time'. Somewhere out in the great wide world, a world that has memories of fairytales, there is a town. This town has hopes and dreams, worries and fears and a boy called Jack. We join him hustling and bustling through the day to day, until...

Fee-fi-fo-fum!

...Giants. Giants are coming. And with that, those fairytales become a lot more real. Rumours start circulating. Panic starts spreading. Can Jack and his friends overcome their fears in time? Will they defeat the Giant and save the day? Come and clamber up the beanstalk with Jack this Christmas. Saltmine Theatre Company's reimagining of this classic story reminds us that we never have to face our fears alone - there is always someone bigger who has already overcome.

"It was performed brilliantly, had a brilliant encouraging message, and closing talk was short and perfect for the occasion. We had great feedback from those that came that it had been enjoyed very much. There were a good number of people we didn't know so it worked well as an outreach in our community."
